Visit secluded waterfalls and virtually isolated interiors or wilderness areas right nearby. Maps and routes for all levels of interest and ability available.

Our area is growing ever more popular for biking. Miles of paved bike paths are being developed and looped routes of many miles on rustic, little traveled roads are all available for the avid biker. Organized, long distance riders are discovering northern Vilas County as the place for varied terrain and high quality riding.

From a quiet stream to those small, off-the-beaten-path lakes, or from the Manitowish River to branches of the Presque Isle, we have all variety of waters for those who like to canoe or kayak. The caves dotting the Lake Superior shoreline are fascinating places to explore in your one or two person kayak. Outfitters and guides are available in the Presque Isle area for novices or those unfamiliar with the many options our waters provide.
