What's Your Pleasure...
The Northwoods of WI offers hundreds of lakes and streams with very diverse fisheries.
Many of the larger, deeper lakes are well-known, established walleye and musky fisheries.
Smaller waters usually offer bass and panfish. Our area also affords the angler seeking
seclusion and wilderness the option to fish many isolated "pothole" lakes.
Take your opportunity to take your kids out fishing for their first catch or
head out with your buddies and go for that trophy fish... whatever your
desire, we have the lakes to fulfill them. |

As a lifelong resident of the area and an avid fishermen at all seasons, Cal Johnson
(one of your hosts) can direct you
to the most productive waters and some of most pristine, "off the beaten path," lakes. Fishing in "Wisconsin's
Last Wilderness" is a total experience to be enjoyed by any caliber of angler. |

The thousands of acres of
public and private hunting lands surrounding our 4 towns offer a "Mecca" of
choices for the hunter. The traditional rifle season for whitetail deer
highlights the Thanksgiving week, but the bow hunter has virtually the entire
fall to bag a trophy buck. The colorful and brisk autumn also brings ideal
weather for bird and small game hunting, with current populations now at a high.
Duck season is not to be missed, with major flyways and stop-over ponds in
abundance throughout the area. |
